Beschreibung: В статье рассматривается язык как объект социокультурного анализа в системе его сущностных характеристик, проявляющих себя в процессе использования социологических методов исследования данного явления. Подобный подход позволяет, в частности, увидеть подлинную значимость языка как системообразующего элемента культуры и показать его способность к конструированию новой реальности. Авторы анализируют причины кризиса русского языка как материального носителя национальной культуры, падения его популярности в мире. Предлагаются меры по преодолению социолингвального кризиса, который является по сути своей социокультурным кризисом.
