| Popis: | This article describes the importance of the discipline "Foreign Language" in the process of becoming a competitive specialist of a non-linguistic university. It is assumed that this is due to the formation of the competence of intercultural interaction of the student, which is a significant indicator of competitiveness of a specialist in the conditions of globalization and digitalization of modern society. The components of the concept "competence of intercultural interaction" are specified, and its interpretation is formulated. On the example of SibSU named after M.F. Reshetnev, the insufficient level of formation of the competence of intercultural interaction of students is shown. The authors of the article suggest that the creation of certain pedagogical conditions in the educational space of higher education institution can increase the effectiveness of foreign language learning in non-linguistic higher education institution, will contribute to the formation of the competence of intercultural interaction of the learner and the formation of a competitive specialist. В данной статье описывается значение дисциплины «Иностранный язык» в процессе становления конкурентноспособного специалиста нелингвистического вуза. Предполагается, что это происходит за счет формирования компетенции межкультурного взаимодействия обучающегося, которая является значимым показателем конкурентоспособности специалиста в условиях глобализации и цифровизации современного общества. Уточнены компоненты понятия «компетенция межкультурного взаимодействия» и сформулировано его толкование. На примере СибГУ им. М.Ф. Решетнева показан недостаточный уровень сформированности компетенции межкультурного взаимодействия обучающихся. Авторы статьи полагают, что создание определенных педагогических условий в образовательном пространстве вуза может повысить эффективность иноязычного обучения в неязыковом в вузе, будет способствовать формированию компетенции межкультурного взаимодействия обучающегося и становлению конкурентоспособного специалиста.
