Description: The aim of this article is to examine the new connotations and dynamics of Russia's ‘Turn to the East’ strategy in the new historical context. To achieve this goal, the following tasks have been set:1) to examine the preconditions and main provisions of Russia's ‘Turn to the East’ strategy at the time of its initial formulation and to clarify its embryonic form;2) to analyse the trajectory of the strategy's development in terms of policy, practice and objectives from 2000 to 2021 in light of changes in the internal and external environment;3) to focus on the new stage and explore the new connotations of the strategy and its impact on Russia's own development and the international situation.Scientific novelty: the study is innovative in its temporal and spatial dimensions, focusing on the new content and scope of the strategy after the escalation of the Ukrainian crisis in 2022. Result. The scope of the new ‘Turn to the East’ strategy is not limited to the Asia-Pacific region, but also extends to a number of non-Western countries in Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. New directions in the strategy include an emphasis on the development of eastern regions and the strengthening of bilateral and multilateral cooperation with China, Turkey, India, Vietnam, North Korea, Iran and other countries. In the long term, the success or failure of Russia's ‘Turn to the East’ strategy will not only be significant for its own development, but will also influence the process of transforming the world order into a multipolar one.
Цель данной статьи — исследование новых коннотаций и динамики российской стратегии «Поворот на Восток» в новых исторических условиях. Для достижения этой цели поставлены следующие задачи:1) рассмотреть предпосылки и основные положения российской стратегии «поворот на Восток» на момент ее первоначального формулирования и уточнить ее эмбриональную форму;2) проанализировать траекторию развития стратегии с точки зрения политики, практики и целей с 2000 по 2021 год в свете изменений во внутренней и внешней среде;3) сфокусировавшись на новом этапе, исследовать новые коннотации стратегии и ее влияние на собственное развитие России и международную обстановку.Научная новизна: исследование является инновационным в своем временном и пространственном измерении, фокусируясь на новом содержании и масштабе стратегии после эскалации украинского кризиса в 2022 году. Результат. Сфера применения новой стратегии «Поворот на Восток» не ограничивается Азиатско-Тихоокеанским регионом, но и распространяется на ряд незападных стран Африки, Латинской Америки и Ближнего Востока. Новые направления стратегии включают в себя акцент на развитие восточных регионов и укрепление двустороннего и многостороннего сотрудничества с Китаем, Турцией, Индией, Вьетнамом, Северной Кореей, Ираном и другими странами. В долгосрочной перспективе успех или неудача российской стратегии «Поворот на Восток» будет иметь значение не только для ее собственного развития, но и окажет влияние на процесс трансформации мирового порядка в многополярный.
