| Popis: | The article examines how American Afrofuturism reinterprets the Protestant doctrine of original sin through the images of biological modification of black heroes. On the material of the novels of R. Solomon and the band 'Сlipping' 'The Deep' (2019) and N. Davenport's 'The Blood Trials' (2022), the metaphor of mutation and symbiosis is analysed as a way of “rewriting” the notion of the innate sinfulness of the body. Using hermeneutic, theological-biopolitical and posthumanist approaches, the author shows that American Afrofuturist literature transforms the traditional Protestant understanding of the “corrupt” body, attributing to it theological meanings of being chosen and liberated. The paper provides a comparative analysis of these novels: parallels between the idea of genetic ‘corruption’ (the tabooed or 'unclean' origin of the characters) and the theology of divine election are identified, and the concept of ‘Afrotelotericism’ is introduced as a literary category reflecting a new, Afrofuturist understanding of black corporeality. It is emphasised that American Afrofuturism, by rethinking the model of the sin-damaged body, contributes to the development of alternative ethical and biopolitical scenarios in the context of contemporary culture. В статье исследуется, как американский афрофутуризм переосмысливает протестантскую доктрину первородного греха через образы биологической модификации чернокожих героев. На материале романов Р. Соломон и группы «Сlipping» «Бездна» (The Deep, 2019) и Н. Дэйвенпорт «Испытания кровью» (The Blood Trials, 2022) анализируется метафора мутации и симбиоза как способ «перезаписи» представления о врожденной греховности тела. Опираясь на герменевтический, богословско-биополитический и постгуманистический подходы, автор показывает, что американская афрофутуристическая литература трансформирует традиционное протестантское понимание «испорченного» тела, приписывая ему теологические смыслы избранности и освобождения. В статье проводится сравнительный анализ указанных романов: выявляются параллели между идеей генетической «порчи» (табуированного или «нечистого» происхождения героев) и теологией божественного избранничества, вводится понятие «афротелосотерики» как литературной категории, отражающей новое, афрофутуристическое осмысление черной телесности. Подчеркивается, что американский афрофутуризм, переосмысляя модель поврежденного грехом тела, содействует формированию альтернативных этико-биополитических сценариев в контексте современной культуры.
