The article is devoted to the analysis of ideological confrontation among the factions of the Supreme Council of Armenia during the drafting and adoption of the 1995 Constitution. It examines key disagreements related to the form of government, the model of statehood, and the symbolic representation of the nation. The Constitution is interpreted as a result of political compromises and ideological clashes, including between advocates of presidential and parliamentary systems. Special attention is given to the textual analysis of the Constitution, which intertwines liberal and nationalist components․ |
