The path of Vechtomov as a mathematician and teacher is traced. His life principles are outlined. Излагаются – от первого лица – ключевые этапы жизни и деятельности Е. М. Вечтомова по случаю 70-летнего юбилея. Прослеживается путь Вечтомова как математика и педагога. Излагаются его жизненные принципы.
