Description: The article deals with the role of expressive-figurative descriptive predicates (hereinafter referred to as expressive-figurative DP) in the text from the point of view of functional grammar. It is shown that the expressive-figurative DP used in literary texts as one semantic unit can express the theme of the text, as well as form a semantic paradigm of sentences to express the same situation. Analyzing materials from the National Corpus of the Russian Language (hereinafter referred to as NCRL), the researcher uses the method of semantic-syntactic description, the method of direct observation, the method of linguistic experiment, which consists in the implementation of synonymous substitutions, expansion of the original statements to avoid repetitions of the same word. As a result of the research, the work concludes that expressive-figurative DP can be recognized as a text category.
В статье рассматривается роль экспрессивно-образных описательных предикатов (далее – экспрессивно-образные ОП) в тексте с позиций функциональной грамматики. Показано, что экспрессивно-образные ОП, употребленные в художественных текстах как одна семантическая единица, могут выразить тему текста, а также образовать семантическую парадигму предложений для выражения одной и той же ситуации. Анализируя материалы из Национального корпуса русского языка (далее НКРЯ), мы использовали метод семантико-синтаксического описания, метод непосредственного наблюдения, метод лингвистического эксперимента, заключающийся в осуществлении синонимических замен, расширении исходных высказываний во избежание повторов одного и того же слова. В результате исследований мы пришли к выводу, что экспрессивно-образные ОП можно признать текстовой категорией.
