| Popis: | The article examines the potential of using works of fiction in the process of teaching country studies to students of philology. Special attention is paid to working with the texts of historical novels when studying such a subject as “History of Britain”. The emphasis is also placed on the possibilities of applying collaborative technologies in researching the texts of the mentioned genre. The author touches upon the issue of defining the concept of “historical novel”, briefly describes its specific properties, and explores it as a possible source of cultural and regional information. The article analyzes cooperative learning as one of the methods of collaborative technologies and provides a brief overview of its history. The option of teaching students using this technology when working with the texts of historical novels is proposed. The researcher shares her experience of using this method in the process of teaching students studying in the field of “Pedagogical education”, specializing in “Russian language and English language”. The results of the research can be used by teachers of English at different levels of education. В данной статье рассматривается потенциал использования произведений художественной литературы в процессе преподавания страноведческих дисциплин студентам-филологам. Особое внимание уделяется работе с текстами исторических романов в изучении студентами дисциплины «История страны изучаемого языка». Также акцент делается на возможностях применения технологии сотрудничества в работе с произведениями упомянутого жанра. Автор затрагивает вопрос об определении понятия «исторический роман», кратко описывает его специфические свойства, исследует его как возможный источник страноведческой информации. Проводится анализ технологии сотрудничества как одного из методов групповой работы, дается краткий экскурс в его историю. Предлагается вариант обучения студентов с применением этой технологии при работе с текстами исторических романов. Автор делится опытом использования данного метода в процессе работы со студентами, обучающимися по направлению «Педагогическое образование», профиль «Русский язык и иностранный (английский) язык». |
