Popis: The increasing demand for customized products in the machining industry necessitates innovative solutions for effective quality assurance. This systematic literature review examines the current state of Computer-Aided Inspection Planning (CAIP) for on-machine inspection, highlighting its pivotal role in establishing a closed-loop manufacturing system. Despite advancements in integrating measurement feedback into production processes, significant challenges remain due to the complexity of customer-specific features and the limitations of existing methodologies. The review reveals that while many studies focus on individual aspects of CAIP, such as feature extraction from CAD models or inspection code generation, none provide a comprehensive framework that fully automates the entire CAIP process, particularly for tactile on-machine inspection. A distinct research gap is identified: the lack of cohesive strategies that integrate the various components of CAIP into a seamless workflow. This paper underscores the urgent need for further research to develop methodologies that facilitate the full automation of CAIP, ensuring real-time adaptability and efficiency in the machining process. Addressing this gap is crucial for advancing automated quality assurance in an era of mass customization, thereby enhancing productivity and maintaining high-quality standards across diverse manufacturing scenarios.
