| Description: | The article is aimed at identifying the features of the comic book that differentiate it from monomodal works of literature and polymodal texts of other types. It studies the linguosemiosis of a polymodal text on the example of a comic book, verbal and visual components of a comic book. The centre of factual material is Marvel Comics: “Civil War” 2006 and “Marvel Comics” #1 1939, which allow to evaluate the changes in the hybridisation of text and illustration in a significant temporal amplitude on the basis of comparative, contextual and component analyses and general scientific methods. It is shown that the integration of verbally expressed content into the image provides a higher information-conceptual density of the comic book and implements the effect of synergy. Characteristic features of the comic book, such as limitation of verbal content to character speech, absence of author's remarks and verbal means of representation of communicative situation, discrete visual component are revealed. The growth of visual content and minimalisation of the verbal component in the diachrony of Marvel Comics is noted. The prospect of further scientific searches in the research problems is outlined. Статья нацелена на выявление особенностей комикса, дифференцирующих его от мономодальных произведений литературы и полимодальных текстов иных типов. Исследуется лингвосемиозис полимодального текста на примере комикса, вербальные и визуальные компоненты комикса. Центр фактического материала составляют комиксы Marvel: “Civil War” 2006 г. и “Marvel Comics” #1 1939 г., которые позволяют оценить изменения гибридизации текста и иллюстрации в значительной временной амплитуде на основе сопоставительного, контекстуального и компонентного анализов и общенаучных приемов. Показано, что интеграция вербально выраженного содержания в изображение обеспечивает более высокую информационно-концептуальную плотность комикса и реализует эффект синергии. Выявлены характерные черты комикса, такие как ограничение словесного наполнения персонажной речью, отсутствие авторских ремарок и вербальных средств репрезентации коммуникативной ситуации, дискретность визуального компонента. Отмечен рост визуального контента и минимализация вербального компонента в диахронии комиксов Marvel. Намечена перспектива дальнейших научных поисков в проблематике исследования.
