Popis: This work explores the analysis and implementation of digital twin (DT) technologies in the context of industrial processes. It focuses on a specific use case, which is monitoring water pumps that are part of desalination water plants located in Saudi Arabia. In collaboration with Aingura IIoT and using the XMPro no-code platform, a trial DT was developed to access the feasibility and performance of real-time monitoring industrial solutions. The study combines theoretical research on DT architectures, including edge-cloud integration, with a practical use case simulated via real pump data. Despite limitations in time and visualization capabilities, the project demonstrates the strategic alignment between Aingura IIoT and XMPro, and identifies clear next steps, including improved dynamic behavior and recommendations among other features and capabilities that XMPro can bring. The results suggest that DTs are a powerful, valuable and technically viable solution in critical industrial infrastructures. Moreover, it can be said that DT systems are economically and environmentally relevant.
