Registre de langue, figures de discours, modalités de phrase et procédés de modalisation, stratégies énonciatives et travail du point de vue constituent les points d’entrée principaux de cette approche stylistique de l’empathie. Through the example of the non-fiction novel D'autres vies que la mienne by Emmanuel Carrère (2009), representing a branch of contemporary French literature that places empathy at the heart of the narrative, this chapter seeks to identify the linguistic and discursive means underlying the thematization of the empathic feeling. Language register, figures of speech, sentence modalities and modalizations, enunciative strategies and changes of points of view are the main entrances in this stylistic approach to empathy. |
