Abstract: The article presents the part 2 of the report on configuration testing with Virtual Server. It states that one effective approach in performing software conficguration testing is to use Microsoft Virtual Server to create a library of virtual machines. It discusses that Virtual Server is built on a group of objects that utilize classic DCOM technology, and can be automated using any COM-aware language, including VBScript, JavaScript, C#, Visual Basic .NET, and Windows PowerShell. The author states that their preferred approach is the Windows PowerShellbecause its advantages include its ability to directly call into the Microsoft.NET Framework and its command-line capabilities, allowing one to develop scripts interactively.
