Abstract (English): The article presents an attempt to evaluate commercially avaible software selected software vendors, used in the design of relational databases. In the comparative analyses both commercial and non-commercial solutions are taken into account. The research purpose is to propose a method of assessment of tools based on a modified model of usable quality presented in ISO 25010 and to select the best tool of the ones that have been evaluated. Abstract (Polish): Artykuł jest próbą oceny dostępnego na rynku oprogramowania różnych producentów, wykorzystywanego do modelowania danych w procesie projektowania relacyjnych baz danych. W analizie porównawczej uwzględnione zostały rozwiązania zarówno komercyjne, jak i niekomercyjne. Cel badawczy, jaki został postawiony, to zaproponowanie sposobu oceny narzędzi w oparciu o zmodyfikowany model jakości użytkowej prezentowany w normie ISO 25010 oraz wyłonienie najlepszego narzędzia spośród poddanych ocenie.
