Abstract: _The article discusses how to manage file servers with Windows PowerShell, a task automation framework from Microsoft Corp. It shows how to identify the files being shared by querying the Win32_Share class to use Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI). To get the folder size, users are instructed to use Get-ChildItem and pipe the results to Measure-Object. It also details how to get files by owner and by age, and to create file shares.
