Abstract: The article discusses the implementation of the Windows PowerShell task automation framework in SharePoint 2010. It is stated that the PowerShell is more flexible than the command-line tool STSADM and the release of SharePoint 2010 is a welcome support for Windows PowerShell. Several tips on administering the tool are presented, including learning the parameters, understanding the PipeBind object, and limiting performance-hungry operations.
