Abstract: The article discusses how to correctly pass data containing embedded spaces into Windows PowerShell scripts. It explains the use of a Windows Script Host (WHS) batch-file wrapper to address stripping double quotes and to pass correctly arguments that need to be enclosed in double quotes to PowerShell scripts. It also describes how to turn arguments into PowerShell 1.0 input and cites the alternative string parsing technique being provided by PowerShell 2.0 for running a script.
