Abstract: This work aims to contribute to the development of scalable, cost-effective, and sustainable smart environments, aligning with Industry 4.0 objectives and future smart infrastructure initiatives. The proposed framework was implemented and experimentally validated using ESP32 and Raspberry Pi hardware, achieving an average response latency of 240 ms and 22 percent energy savings compared to manual operation. The contributions of this research include a scalable Edge-IoT architecture integrating web control and MQTT communication, a low-cost modular prototype for real-time monitoring and automation, and experimental validation demonstrating high reliability (98.6 percent packet delivery) and low latency suitable for smart home and laboratory environments.
