| Abstract (English): | This article presents the SHARE Catalogue project as an advanced model of library cooperation and semantic innovation. Developed through an agreement among Southern Italian universities, SHARE has built a Linked Open Data infrastructure based on open and interoperable ontologies (BIBFRAME and SHARE-VDE), enabling the representation of bibliographic resources according to an entity-relationship model inspired by FRBR and LRM, implemented in the BIBFRAME format within a Linked Open Data environment. The paper outlines the platform’s architecture, collaborative practices, integration with Wikidata, and systemic implications for the evolution of the National Library Service. It positions SHARE as both a conceptual and technical laboratory for a sustainable and replicable model of semantic cataloguing. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Italian): | L’articolo presenta l’esperienza del progetto SHARE Catalogue come modello avanzato di cooperazione bibliotecaria e di innovazione semantica. Nato nell’ambito di una convenzione tra atenei del Mezzogiorno, SHARE ha sviluppato un’infrastruttura basata su Linked Open Data, fondata su ontologie aperte e interoperabili (BIBFRAME e SHARE-VDE), che consente di rappresentare le risorse bibliografiche secondo un modello entità-relazioni ispirato a FRBR e LRM, implementato nel formato BIBFRAME, in ambiente Linked Open Data. Il contributo illustra l’architettura della piattaforma, le pratiche collaborative, le modalità di integrazione con Wikidata e le implicazioni sistemiche per l’evoluzione del Servizio Bibliotecario Nazionale.
