Abstract (English): The summoning of the Cortes made by Charles I in Castile and Aragon (1518) and his election as emperor (Charles V) left a deep mark on the narrative structure of Claribalte (May 1519), the first and only chivalric romance written by Gonzalo Fernández de Oviedo. Our aim is to recover the vocabulary used by Oviedo in order to delve deeper into the political culture shared between author and readers in the difficult starting of the reign of Charles V. Specifically, we have focused on the literary conceptualization of succession problems, the right to resist tyrannical government and the resolution of political conflicts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
