A cyber attack is a malicious and deliberate attempt by a person or organization to steal, expose, modify, disable or destroy data, applications or other assets through unauthorized access to a network, computer system or digital device. Globally, the losses caused by cyber attacks tend to increase. These cybercrimes take a wide variety of forms. The banking sector remains one of the top areas affected by cyber attacks, as the banks' and customers' own informational and financial means are attacked. This situation constantly generates possibilities of financial, operational, legal and reputational damage. All this requires the consistent undertaking of protective measures in the short and long term. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

Un atac cibernetic reprezintă o încercare rău intenționată şi deliberată a unei persoane sau a unei organizații cu intenția de a fura, expune, modifica, dezactiva sau distruge date, aplicații sau alte bunuri prin acces neautorizat la o rețea, un sistem informatic sau un dispozitiv digital. La nivel global, pierderile provocate de atacurile cibernetice are tendința de creştere. Aceste crime cibernetice au o varietate largă de forme. Sectorul bancar rămâne unul din domeniile de top în afectarea de atacurile cibernetice, fiind atentate mijloacele informaționale şi financiare proprii ale băncilor şi ale clienților. Această situație generează în permanență posibilități de daune financiare, operaționale, juridice şi de reputație. Toate acestea impun întreprinderea consecventă a măsurilor de protecție în perspectivă pe termen scurt şi lung. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
