Abstrakt: A small household public services are demanding skilled labours such as Electrician, Plumber, Carpenter, etc. One has to search for the required labour who are always busy and not available whenever required immediately because of improper schedule. The traditional mechanism of booking the skilled labours is unreliable and time consuming. This paper focuses on the prototype of a mobile based application for booking the skilled labours and availing their services reliable way while saving the valuable time and efforts. The prototype for the android application is developed using flutter as a simple platform for logic development using reduced code. The firestore being a flexible and scalable NoSQL cloud database allow to store and sync all the data related to labours, their services records etc. It also keeps the database in sync across all the clients and service providers associated with the application through realtime members. The prototype of the application developed is tested with all types of service providers and few sample client users for checking the efficiency in terms of database search time, response time for simultaneous access by multiple users. The experimental results show that the database search time is 0.3 ms when database connectivity is good while it is 0.5 ms when connectivity is bad. The response time observed is 0.004 ms for simultaneous access by 1-100 users, 0.0081 ms for 101-1000 users and 0.021 ms for 1000-10000 users. Thus, the performance shows that the prototype developed in this proposed work can be applied to develop a real android application which can be used by a wide number of simultaneous users.
