Abstract: The article discusses the challenges facing the quantum computing industry in transitioning to new post-quantum cryptography (PQC) standards which are under development by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in collaboration with the cryptography research community. It questions whether this community has done enough to understand and enable frameworks for achieving cryptographic agility.
