Abstract: The article discusses ways to avoid failure in the computer software market by aligning system performance with stakeholder expectations. While many information technology managers and organizations are able to design software that perfectly fulfills its initial goals, they find that consumers are dissatisfied after the product is brought to market. To remedy this problem, organizations must focus on building software that addresses the needs of the consumer and performs exactly how they expect it to. INSET: DISCOUNTING EXPECTATIONS.
