Název: Quantitative methodology perspective—a focus on structural equation modeling reporting for novice researchers.
Autoři: Sussan, Fiona1 (AUTHOR) sussan@toyo.jp
Zdroj: Asian Business & Management. Nov2025, Vol. 24 Issue 5, p685-703. 19p.
Témata: *QUANTITATIVE research, *STATISTICAL hypothesis testing, *EMPIRICAL research, STRUCTURAL equation modeling, EXPERIMENTAL design, ACQUISITION of data
Abstrakt: In a hypothetico-deductive quantitative approach to research, data plays a vital supporting role in providing evidence for the theoretical argument, contributing to new knowledge creation. Data, when collected and analyzed rigorously, have the potential to supporting existing theories or generate new theories within the Asian context, relevant to the mission of this journal. A well-crafted quantitative manuscript begins with a robust research design (processes of data collection, instrument development or adaptation, sampling procedure), followed by empirical data used to test hypotheses that were developed prior to data collection. The target audience for this editorial is authors with limited experience wishing to submit quantitative hypothesis testing research to this journal (hereafter ABM). Authors wishing to submit qualitative research, while this specific editorial does not apply to them, ABM does not exclude qualitative research. The editorial begins with addressing major challenges researchers face. Recommendations follow with concluding notes for novice researchers and new reviewers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
